Hey just like the title says...I need help....Here's the numbers from it

Pentium 4
1.3ghz/256/400/1.7v

Also how much do you think I could sell this thing for?
 
No, lol...I need to know what core it is and all the essetial stuff...I'm selling it on ebay, so if I can get the essentials it would be greatly appreciated....And no more jackassed comments please.... :rolleyes: .....BOB SAGET :D

EDIT: Am I right in guessing that the 256 means it has 256kb l2 cache? and the 400 is for the fsb?

Well what if I bundled a dell dimesion 8000 motherboard and power supply? (power supply fromt the same computer of course) And yes it was a working system....The power supply is 179 watts I believe...I'll go double check and if I'm wrong I'll edit this post....
 
yeah the 423's were williamettes (VOMIT). And that's the slowest of them all...the 1.3ghz model. It's garbage...a decent P3 will own it in anything.
 
eh...not really. It's old, slow, and used a short-lived socket. But who knows...maybe someone out there really needs one and can't find one because they're rare. I'd at least try to ebay it.

That is correct. When this chip was still in production, it was actually offered at the same price as the PIV 1.4Ghz chip (and was released after it). A 900-1Ghz P3 will own this in any benchmark that you throw at it, and all (well.. i think) motherboards that will support that processor will require Rambus RAM, which will be much more expensive than any other ram upgrade option at this point. Hopefully some poor sap on eBay will take it off your hands, but I wouldn't even take it for free. :eek:

I would. Keychain! :D My coppermine 733 is getting lonely just hanging there with my keys...a willy would make a nice companion.

Also, there are some boards out there that will take a 423 with regular old-skool sdram, but I doubt any of them are any good. (early P4 via and sis chipsets anyone?)
 
I have a willamette 1.3. Poor performance, the late model P3 Tualatins would just own them. I would pay maybe...$25 for it now, since you can get better performing Durons and Celerons for maybe $20 - 40 more. This was a case of the latest definitely not being the greatest.

And yeah, paired with the need for Rambus RAM? Hell no, keep that garbage away from me. You can build a system with like an Athlon XP 2800+, 1 GB of DDR, and a solid motherboard for the price you'd pay just for 512 MB of RDRAM.
