Hello, I'm trying to flash my video card to the latest BIOS from the techpowerup BIOS collections. Yes it's an old card but I don't play the most up to date games. I have ATI 4890, but I can't figure out which one is mine on the category 'Core/Mem' as there are quite a few different options. I'll attach a pic of the box of my card.

http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/...90&interface=PCI-E&memType=GDDR5&memSize=1024

The Core/Mem options are 850/975, 870/1050, 960/1050, 1000/1050, 901/1000

If this is your card, it looks like the 850/975 bioses are yours. Specifically, the first one on that list.

Thanks, yeah it was the 850/975. I made my bootable USB disk and followed all the instructions and videos I can find but I run into a final error here... I got the right link from techpowerup for the BIOS but every time I enter the command I get this...

I know I can do a force but I'd rather not, I don't have another card nearby in case it fails completely.

Not sure what the mismatch is if I thought I found the correct one...

Hum. That's weird, and no you don't want to force-flash in this case. That SSID mismatch shows up when you're attempting to flash the bios of a different card onto your card. That's a brick, usually.

Is there a specific reason for wanting to flash?

Edit: Clicking "Details" on the 850/975 bios yields a Vapor-X variant graphic. I don't think that's your card.

yes, I have a specific monitor which apparently has a known issue with my card and I've read way to cure the blinking problem is to flash to an updated BIOS.

I read that yes that mismatch is different card onto mine or vice versa but this is both Sapphire and I'm trying to update the exact kind

I see 5 with 850/975, they appear to have same Device ID but there is a couple different Subsystem IDs. You can find the Subsystem ID in CCC under Information->Hardware.

Edit from your screenshot you want one of the 502 Subsystem ID ones.
