a little while ago i bought a new cable for my apc ups that uses 2 d-sub 9 pin to rj-45 converters. what is the proper name for these and where can i find them?

Sorry I have no idea what it is -- I just threw the words "d-sub rj-45 ups" into the searchbox at Pricewatch, figured they might have someone selling something like that.
 
not it, but i stumbled my way upon what i need. basically, i bought one cable that uses a standard network cable and plan on copying it to make 2 more :D
 
I believe this is a proprietary cable that APC uses for their UPS units, but I could be wrong. I've only encountered them recently when I bought a pair of APC UPS units.

someone did figure out how to make an adapter to use standard cat5 cable to connect them. i plan on doing the same when i get the parts i ordered.

p.s.
i have back ups pros which have a d-sub 9 connector on each end.
