im new to all this. I have just used default for so long. I see some pics of desktops here and some look badass. like weather forcast, large clock and other things like that. what other things can i do to customize win2k?
how do i get transparent windows?
im also geting a nother moniter. whats some neat things i can do with that? i want one to be my "TV" where i watch tv and play ps2 games using the tv tuner, and the other as my computer

Have a look at http://www.wincustomize.com/index.aspx?u=0. There are loads of skins there for those sort of apps, and links to the actual programs for the ones you like.

Btw, this forum is for talk about monitors and other displays. Digital Artwerk might be a better place for this.

dont see anything there... maybe i just dont know where to look. do you have to pay for thoes weather things? any news headline things also?

Question on those - how much do they detract from system performance or sap resources?

You may want to look at DesktopX. Here is a Screen shotI haven't tried "skinning" windows for a while now, so I don't know much of what is available today. WinBlinds use to be a popular one. I just did a quick search for window skinning tools and found a few links like the one above that I may have to look into when I get home. Be sure to read up on the reviews and opinions to know what kind of bugs and problems you may run into.

Good Luck...

*edit* ... the real link for DesktopX
