EDIT: I wrote to Acer Europe and they responded that the "ET.FG5HP.001" is the only G245H with a glossy screen surface. Going by that, it seems that there are no glossy G245H's, then, in possibly all of Europe (I checked some German and UK sites but couldn't find any ET.FG5HP.001's, so I assume it's not meant for the EU market for some reason.)

Sorry you're having such a hassle. It is a really nice monitor. I'm in the US so maybe I can't help much but here goes... links are for photos and reference, as I don't know if these sites ship to your country-

http://www.amazon.com/Acer-G245Hbmid-Olympic-Widescreen-Display/dp/B002Q4SGPO

That's the one I ordered. G245Hbmid. Glossy screen and rated at 5ms. HDMI and DVI. I think the key might be to look for the one with the Olympic logo. You can see it in one of the pics at the amazon link above. It's on the center of the "X" that forms the base.

Another little oddity- my monitor says HDMI on the bezel at upper left, and G245H at the upper right, but the pics in the amazon link don't show those markings. There's a pic of mine in this thread-

Good luck.

Hmm, it's not the one in your third prisjack link (with the red colors on the base).

I can verify that mine has a glossy screen, dynamic contrast ratio of up to 80,000:1, Acer's Adaptive Contrast Management, auto searches between the VGA, DVI and HDMI™ ports, and has "the Empowering Key to launch the Acer eColor Management and Acer eDisplay Management applications." If you can find one that has all that stuff, and the Olympic logo, that should be the right one...

Here Acer BD models are Matte, I guess that means the same in Sweden. Apparently the N/A Bid version is Matte as well, I would assume the same of the G245HQAbid. I checked Acer's swedish site and none of these are listed. If you really want one check some of the customer reviews, some one usually mentions if it's Glossy.

Honestly though considering that you have models like the Acer H243HX and Fujitsu P22W-5 Eco IPS avaliable, I would take either of those over the G245H. The Fujitsu is an outstanding gaming monitor, uses an IPS panel and its contrast is over 1100:1.

Thanks a lot for replying guys.

I actually wrote to Acer Europe, and they responded that the ET.FG5HP.001 is the only glossy version of the G245H that exists, which means none of the models sold in Sweden (or in Europe at all it seems - I checked some UK and German sites as well) are glossy.

The thing is I'd like a good but cheap glossy TN and the G245H (bmid) seems to be the best choice. But if that's no go, then maybe I'll pick the Benq G2420HDBE which sells rather cheaply here. It's matte, though.

I'm also considering perhaps instead going for a more expensive PVA display, the FS2331 specifically. Which isn't glossy of course, but it should make up for that with better quality.

The Fujitsu monitor is an unlikely choice as it's very similarly priced to the Eizo which is better in all areas except maybe speed.

There is always the Asus LS246H, it's a glossy TN and is faster than the G245H and has slightly better contrast. It's pricey for a TN here, but still half the price of the Eizo.

The Eizo is an oustanding panel though, should last you a few years if that's what you decie to get.

Don't punish yourself with the medicore quality control BenQ offers.
