Need Help Finding PSU

yeah my old PSU thats 250 Watt went out , i need to buy a new one.. something that is atleast 450 Watt..

my friend had a coupel old computers that he doesnt use..so i took 2 of his psu to try it otu on mines. they arnt 450 watt , only 250 and 160 ..haha...i tried them and they dont work...whats wrong?

i remember wen i took out my old psu , it had 2 wires that went into my mobo .. the original one. and a 4-pin in a square shape looking thing..but with my friends PSU it doesnt have that 4-pin thing only the original one....i connected it and turn on my computer...everything turns on except for my Mouse and Keyboard and monitor...yes i check everything!!...the mouse and keyboard lights up for a second and thats it .. and the monitor when i turn it on it doesnt show anything and it goes to stand by..
someone help me please

i was thinking bout buying a 450 watt one..but im not sure if its going to have the 4-pin one that connects to my mobo..so how do i find out? i was thinking bout gettn the antec 450 watt one.....someone please help me out...
 
what's your budget? if cost is no object i'd get a PC Power&Cooling PSU. all my PC's has one.

otherwise, go with el cheapo.
