Need help finding an Elbow

I can't find a right elbow barb (perferably not plastic, but if it is I can deal with it). It has to fit in the standard Danger Den equipment, (1/4"??). If you can link me to one I would really appreciate it, I've been looking all over the last couple days, thank you in advance.
 
what size are the danger den holes? my innovatek fass-o-matic resevior has 1/4" holes and the dangerden holes are larger than those, so I'm just wondering what size barbs should i be searching for ?
 
With DD it could be either NPT or BSPP. Depends on the date of manufacture. Contact DD if your not sure.
 
well TN, i actually had a 1/4 NPT, and it didn't fit exactly :p caused a little leak, luckily nothing was on... so im guessing it has to BSPP ?? if so where should I look for that ?

Go to www.legris.com and find what you want. Then call a local distributor and have them order it. Piece of pie. :D
 
after many hours (in class) spent on searching for the DD thread size, I found a hardforum thread about it. It turns out that the size is 9/16-18 which is 1/4" NP. However, Now i have to find out whether it is NPS or NPT and since i tried a 1/4 NPT fitting that leaked, I think it must be 1/4" NPS. now the hard part is finding a barb that is 1/4 elbow NPS. neone know ne good sites? mcmaster doesnt carry NPS i dont believe.
 
bumb - still havent found an elbow that will fit :( no one (besides DD) uses NPS ...
 
ya i called them and they told me they used 9/16-18 NPS (straight) threading. I asked them if they could make me an elbow fitting with those threads, but they said they couldnt.
so now im trying to find someone, somewhere that will make a 9/16-18 NPS (aka G1/4 NPS) elbow fitting. Ive searched almost everywhere, but if there is someplace someone knows of it would really help.
 
you might have better luck in getting the the block re-threaded rather than finding an elbow to fit.........
 
Are you sure they gave you the right info? ... 9/16" seems like an odd pipe thread size.
Probably why you are having trouble finding one.
 
Unfortunately as far as I know NPS is a bastardised "standard" that DD may or may not have made up for themselvs. If you need it for cpu, you could get one of their new block tops with BSPP threads. That is fairly prevalent.

Or get an NPT fitting and apply some silicon sealant/adhesive around the threads before screwing it in. That should seal it up well.
