I played a free simulator that allowed you to run a gaming company that would design and market games as well as design consoles. You made games for very old systems and would decide which consoles you wanted to develop for as time went on. It is officially impossible to find it with Google due to the search terms relating to so many other things. Anyone else play this?

Quotes are your friend! I googled "game company simulator" (with the quotes, which makes google search for the phrase rather than the individual words) and got this page which suggests the name of the game you're looking for is GameBiz. The link from that article leads to the full article, here, which further states that Gamebiz is made by Osiris Games, that they are working on a sequel, and that GameBiz 1 and 2 and some other stuff can be found here.
