Need help deciding on a 17" lcd

Hey all,
About 2 years ago, I built my sis a pc and gave her an old crappy monitor of mine. I also promised I'd buy her an lcd to replace the old monitor eventually. Well, eventually has come. I think I have it narrowed down to 3.

1) Dell 1704fpv - about $280 from dell sb is the best I can find w/ coupons.
2) Samsung 710N-2 - $250 from zzf
3) Some other 17" lcd under $250 that you guys recommend. :)

The only advantages i can really think of to pay the extra for the 1704 (I was really hoping not to go over $250... lower is even better) is DVI and dells return policy. ZZF's requires 5 pixels which isn't too bad and my sister probably wouldn't even notice 1 or 2 dead pixels anyways. What should I do? Any suggestions?

I'm patiently waiting for Dell to do the 33% + $35 stackables for the 17" which brings it down to less then $200. I've watched this deal pass several times in the last 6 months, and not my sister is wanting one.... It almost time for Dell to bring out the big deals again. Just wait another week or 2.

i would go with the samsung... i have a samsung 170n and have had it for about a year.... got one dead pixel but other then that its a great monitor and very well built... i have dragged it back and forth to school many times and still works like a champ
 
haha... my sister will kill me if i tell her it's gonna be another week or 2. She's already mad it's not gonna be there this week. I'm leaning heavily towards the samsung I guess. 300ish people on newegg can't be wrong. :)


Then again... maybe i'll just wait a couple more days and i'll get lucky and find some great coupon. Arg I dunno.
