Need help converting a Word document

I have a resume written in Word format. Unfortunately I don't have MS Office on this machine, and I'd like to avoid installing it. Is there a program that will let me open this document so I can cut-and-paste the text into something else?

MS has a Word Reader available at their Office site. It should do the trick.

Free and quite a nice program. Has saved quite a few corrupted MS Office docs for me.

OO is fat and slow. If I was going to install an office suite, I'd use MS Office.

Try Word Pad. It's under accessories in your start menu.

I had tried that, but no love. I'll try the Word Viewer and see how that goes.
