I have a gf4 ti 4800se, have the chance to get an ATI Radeon 9700pro all in wonder, is there a big difference in graphics, i know this card has tv and stuff, but how much better is the graphics?

It's so worth the upgrade they dont even compare the 4800 to the 9700pro.

However, for you to feel the big jump of ati, I'd get a 9800 pro, just for the extra kick in the perf area.

The 9700 is still a strong performer today. It'll probably be on par with the 4800 with no effects on in DX 8 games, but with effects on (AA, AF) it'll blow it away. Not to mention 9700 supports swanky DX 9 graphics.

How much are you going to pay for the 9700 Pro AIW? If you do not need the features of the AIW, I'd also agree with going with a 9800 pro (there's also a 9800 Pro AIW).

well, I am trading a 17" Flat Screen crt for this, so just wondering if it will kick the gf4 ti 4800se's ASS or not, lmk guys, as we ship tommorrow

In short, I think many here will agree the 4800 does not hold a candle to the 9700 Pro. The 9600XT is probably the equivalent of the 4800 in DX 8 with no effects on, and the 9700 Pro still outperforms the 9600XT.

Go for it.
