Just a few issues, for all you genius people who've helped me out so well thus far 
1) I'm using RivaTuner (as suggested here) to keep track of my card temps etc.
However, it's reading my mem clock way lower than what this card is shipped with (MSI Radeon X1900XTX) which is something in the realm of 1500, but Riva is reading my clocks at 750 or there-abouts.
Is the program just reading it wrong? The card has to be running at the speeds it's advertised/shipped at, no? Check out Newegg for details on the card, and you'll see what I mean.
2) While reformating to get all old Nvidia drivers off my system, when dl'ing Windows updates after installing XP, there was an ATI Driver Update through Windows.
I thought this was strange, until I realized this: the ATI CCC is horrible with XP & SP2, causing weird reboots and rebooting into XP's GUI (I always change it to classic view) as well as I believe the drivers to be the cause of weird sysdata.xml/.dmp errors/dumps (anyone having this with the new cards' drivers?).
The 6.9 drivers just don't sit well with Windows right now, so --- did ATI purposely make this update to help "integrate" the new drivers/line of cards into XP & SP2? Is that what that was that I dl'd and installed and why it was there?
Thought it would be, since it was under Windows updates, I guess to help with the driver issues.

***Important: While dl'ing Windows updates, it detected .NET Framework (have to use with new card) for a security update. However, it was for SP1! I'm running SP2. Is this going to cause problems? I installed it because it was "High Priority", but that's really odd and I don't need any more driver issues! Hehe.
3) CCC... what a pain. Does adjusting everything for "Quality" have the same effect as "upping" OpenGL and 3dGlide in the old CP (which you cant get to through CCC)? In other words --- how do you/do you need/is it -better- to be able to adjust OpenGL/3dGlide directly through the old CP? Or does "upping" everything in the CCC to "Quality" do it for you and basically have the same effect?
I just need/want this card to do what I paid for/set it up to do! Heh.
So want to make sure I'm getting the most graphically (yes, I'm a graphics whore) as well as performance out of this card, but I'm not totally clear on the CCC settings.
What's the best way to set it up for quality? Just put on "High Quality"? Or use the Custom Settings and doing it yourself?
That's how I have it now, only problem is... it doesn't always stay! Heh. Literally, my settings change back --- and I have yet to install/play any new games on this system since the reformat.
Anyway, that's all a mouthful --- however, all things I do need to know and learn, so any and all in-depth responses are, as usual, greatly appreciated!
