Been running a Samsung 245BW for about 4-5 years now, and have been looking at monitors for about the past year. Obviously IPS monitors have caught my eye, however there are so many conflicting reports out there it's hard to get a bead on what would best serve my needs.

I am used to 1200p currently, so going down to 1080p just won't cut it. I also do some photo retouching and photography work, as well as small graphic design so somewhat decent color accuracy would be nice. I also game quite a bit, but 120hz isn't important to me. Where I get hung up at with all the choices out there is a mix between reliability and lag.

I've seen some people recommend the ViewSonic VP2770, then i've seen others rave about the QNIX, and then others even say the Crossover 2720MDP GOLD, it's enough to make your head spin. Help!
