I'm thinking about purchasing an sff to sit next to my tv in the living room. I would like it to act as a pvr (i'll be installing a hauppage mce150) as well as an mp3 jukebox and an occassional gaming station (for day of defeat and call of duty, mostly - nothing too high-end).
It would be nice if it could play dvds, so that I could use ffdshow/dscaler to get a nicer picture.
It will obviously hook up to my tv, which right now is a very crappy one but hopefully will be a nicer hdtv in the 40" range soon.
I would also like if the sound from the mp3s, dvds and games could come out of the surround sound set up i have. I guess that would just be a line out into the receiver?
It's going in my living room, so it needs to look nice without any mods. As minimal and clean as possible. Black would be preferred, but I'm not set on the color.
I would like to do it as low cost as possible.
