Sorry for the consufion but come to find out they are both Celerons one is a 1.7 and the other is a 2.7. i put in the 2.7 so thanks for the info and sorry again.

1. Intel Celeron 1.7
2. Intel Celeron 2.7
 
yeah but i read a review earlier of a celeron 2.4 and a p4 1.7 and the 2.4 was better so im not sure.
 
come to find out that they are both celeron CPU's so i put in the 2.70. sorry for the confusion.
 
i would say the celeron. That's 2.7ghz vs 1.7ghz. Even though the celeron is a budget line and has a less L1/L2 cache, the processor speed is king. The only edge the p4 will have is the initial load up of software and startup.

I would suggest running a test demo or capturing with fraps. Those are closer to real world performances than any cpu benchmarker.
