these are my options: RAM : DDR : 1GB : PC3200 : Patriot : PSD1G400
or: RAM : DDR : 1GB : PC3200 : Corsair : VS1GB400C3

would like to get 2 or 3 of each.

They seem equally matched as far as specs go. I have not really looked into Patriot support (their forums seems pretty active though) but Corsair, from what I've heard, tend to make things right fairly quickly.

Pick your poison really. Same speed, same timings, almost same price.

DDR1? What hardware are you running?
I just upgraded; stop making fun of me. :(

TBJ: Unless you can find something with name brand chips on it (Micron, Samsung, Hynix, etc.), I think you'll just have to buy whatever PC3200 available that's rated for 2.5V (avoid 2.6V) and is cheap, then test it for a few days with MemTest86 and Gold Memory ver. 5.07 and reject it if it fails even the tiniest bit. I bought 3 of those Corsairs from Fry's, and 1 out of 3 modules failed when used in a pair. Also Corsair's website said they were 3-3-3-8, but mine were 3-4-4-8, not that it makes even one bit of difference in speed.
