Depends which Thermaltake PSU. It is most comparable to the Toughpower 1200W, which uses the same internal design but rated for an additional 200W. However, the Corsair is just as good, is quite a bit cheaper, and is still plenty for a dual GTX295 setup.

but why is it so cheap? even the thermaltake 850w is more expensive
 
It's not that it's cheap, it's that the Thermaltake ones are disproportionally expensive.
 
The HX1000 is indeed a wonderful powersupply. I have one and highly recommend it.
