Need Help Brightening up 2D Video

Whenever I play videos in WMP 10, they seem awfully dark on my LCD and I was wondering where I could change the gamma in the nVidia display properties? When I play the same videos on my other system with a CRT they look a lot brighter. Thanks for any help!
 
its somewhere in those nvidia properties, try looking in 'COLOR' and select 'Overlay'
 
I presume you are running the latest drivers, but if you arn't the 77.72s have some video brightness issues, so if you are runnign on those it may be time for an update.
