Im planning to buy a 109dollar AN7 DDR 400 motherboard,

I was thinking of getting either 1gb 2 512 ddrs
or most likely 2x 256ddr

whats the best ram for this motherboard for a price under 150?

I was looking at this
Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, 184 Pin 256MB DDR PC-3200
but was told it uses alot of voltage form a friend.

Your friend doesn't know anything about computers. As long as your mobo supports dual DDR400, you will be fine. Corsair is great overclocking memory, so is Kingston, Geil, etc.. etc...

If your not looking to overlock, you can get some cheaper high quality memory from micron/crucial and other companies like that.
