i just gt a new asus g73 and it has a hd 5870 and i do not know how to set up ati cards,i need some settings for counter strike 1.6 please
 
1.6? install drivers, max out settings. Thats about it. You'll be getting some ridiculously high frame rate.

The G73 is a beast of a laptop, run the game at the highest res and graphic settings and you should still get over 150 fps. LOL, It should run fine. The bars are because your running way below your native resolution.
 
i know but i do compete in online leagues and 800x600 is my res so i guess ill just get use to the bars
 
You are on 800x600 with a 5870? I guess your the only person to ever see Crysis running maxxed out with 200+ FPS.

pretty common when playing CS competitively. I think it makes it easier for the "pros" to see the head and get a head shot
 
ive actually gone even lower since i got the g73..im at 640x480 in game now..and the reason for the res is cause it does help with seeing and the game responds quicker to the lower res which is what they were designed with.
