Need For Speed Carbon FPS problem

ok so im new to this site and all but im not a noob when it comes to woking with comps. my problem is when i go to play NFSC i get around 200FPS but like the actuly speed of the game is off the charts like when the mph is 40 my car will be going like 200 along with eveything else eveything in the game is maxed and the res is 1600x1200 so i dunno what to do any ideas?
 
Do you have some sort of "pc accelerator" software that promises to optimize and accelerate the speed of your computer in everyday use? That might be it..
 
no i dont i just built it its got
2.0 Ghz duel core am2
2 gb corsair ram
320 GB hd
7900KO videocard
450 Watt ps
nothin special the game is just going crazy
 
have u downloaded AMD dual core patches, think they fix this, also setting the affinity either to 1 or 2 for a certain program through task manager, causes or fixes this sometimes, forget which.
