Hi.

I got chance to get Logitech Z560 speakers "almost cheap" from a friend. Spex are:

THX certified
400 watts RMS total power output
Satellites: 212 watts RMS (4 x 53W)
Subwoofer: 188 watts RMS
Maximum SPL: 114 dB Frequency response: 35 Hz-20 kHz
Signal-to-noise ratio: >100 dB
Connectors: Pro audio multi-junction speaker wire connectors, 3.5mm headphone jack, front & rear channel inputs

Are these speakers worth ~160euros?

And one important question. Comparing Z560 to Philips FW C58, which are more powerful?

Kthankyou

I need reply ASAP! :*

the logitech is more powerful.....and how much is 160euro in usd money?

160 Euro ~ 200 US dollars. You can find a new set for around 120USD in the US.

I have these. Nice rich bass and clear crisp sound. I got mine for $100 USD. Just make sure you give them ample break in time.

Broken in with the Z560s... Fear that.

Indeed. The breaking has a tendancy to go a little far. I'd point my speaker dollar elsewhere. I'm not quite sure, however what else is on the european market.

Well, I dont live in US, so buying stuff there is out of the question. (though you luckyppl have everything so cheap there argh!).

Yes, speakers come 2nd hand buying em from friend of mine cos he wants Z680, though they are old ~12months. Here new ones cost much more, around 220euros.

GodsMadClown, Mister X, what are you talking about, "broken in" ?

Should I be aware of somethings, when buying those now?

Oh yeah additional question: Some say these speakers "suck" in movies (talking/"vocals"), cos they dont have the "center speaker". Is this true?

mine died on me after a while, I never evan put them all the way high, at most it would be 3/4 but rarely..

I heard some are complaining about their Logitech speakers, they crap out in time, like 1 speaker is not working right and that kind of stuff, usually in more then 1year of service. Is that true?

btw, BUMP

Yes. They're not making it up. Logitech speakers have a nasty habit of breaking.

Yelp! I have a Dead set 560zs as well. I have my TV repairman buddy looking at the Subs's AMP and the Controller.

Oh damn :\ How old was your Z560 sistem when it "died" ?

So when they brake, they're for garbage or what? Cant you take em to a local "repairman" that fixes TV's, radios, and other elec. stuff? Or take it to shop where you bought it, and they will arrange the fixing, though u have to pay the repairs..?

Mine were 14 months old, well broken in but not abused. One day I to hit the switch and nothing happened, checked the fuse, different wall socket, nothing. I don't know if my buddy can fix them, but he can find out what happened to them.

The sub/amp is usually what dies out, if you look on their site forum so many people had the same problem as me. Some were lucky enough to be able to change the fuse and get it working again but that didn't help for me. I guess when you're buying speakers from companys like Logitech, Creative, ect you have to expect the to use cheaper parts, like big computer company's like Compaq, Dell, ect.. They were great speakers when they worked though, I *guess* your chance with these speakers are almost as good as any other speakers out on the market, computer market that is..

just my opinion...

Nice said.

Well anyway, I'm getting the speakers neway, I'll tell you how they "act" in few days =)
