I am looking for a computer with 2 PCI slots. We use two video capture cards for our application.

Any options out there from a manufacturer with 2 PCI slots? I would rather not build something. I have found these PCI express to PCI adapters and they may be an option:

I'm going to look into the cost of getting new capture cards that are PCI express but wanted to pursue this angle also.

Thanks!

The only problem with that type of PCI-e to PCI adapter is that it raises the PCI card up.

There are also things like PCIe to PCI enclosures. This is probably the easiest and best way to add PCI slots unless you are going to make an enclosure yourself or mod the case for the computer.

Better picture of the one above... probably a better seller as it doesn't look like they jacked pics from multiple different sales.

Express-card for laptops version:
Laptop PC Expansion Cards with case enclosure 34&54 To 2 32bit PCI slots adapter

If you wanted to make one that would support both, you could just get the laptop version and then one of the PCIe to PCI 2x slot adapters and use the PCIe card only to hook up to the enclosure.

and PCIe to 2x PCI adapters where you mount the PCI slots wherever you want.

The problem with this one is that it uses a SATA power cable right at the end of the PCI slots and will not work with longer cards unless you modify the SATA power connector to clear the PCI cards - I have one of these.

OR, you could always use a 1x to 3x PCIe hub and some PCIe to PCI cards like you posted.

Less expensive card like you posted about -

Like you've got the budget to buy/build a new PC, and your only requirement is that it support 2x PCI slots? That... should be really easy. Unless you're looking to buy a pre-built system from a manufacturer (Dell/HP/whatever); getting 2x PCI slots that way is likely near impossible.

I've never used it, but the GIGABYTE GA-Z170-HD3 is an inexpensive modern Intel compatible (supports Skylake CPUs) motherboard that comes with 2x PCI slots in addition to its normal layout of PCI-Express slots. In fact, there's a whole army of 2 and 3 PCI slot boards you could get - here is a link to Newegg's available boards.

I built a spare computer I use for testing and various projects that was pretty cheap but powerful and the mobo has 2 PCI slots.

MSI PC-Mate Z97 mobo ($90) with a G3258 CPU ($75 or less), and I use the on-board GPU.
The CPU overclocks to 4GHz very easily on this mobo.

MSI Z97 PC Mate LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard - Newegg.com

I use the same mobo on my main computer with a 4790K CPU.
Very solid mobo, no problems with either of the two I have.
