I use K-Lite on my main comp because I don't mind reformatting. I just use VideoLAN on my laptop to keep it clean.

My only problem with K-lite is that there are several cracked codecs in there and a couple of redundant ones, they tend to create more problems for video playback then anything. I've seen a few systems messed up because of K-lite.

I only have install a few codecs, FFDShow and an MPEG2 codec (Dscaler5) are more then enough.

hmm...idk i think sumtins messed up....a select few files have messed up but the funny thing's that ive had a couple files like lewis black on broadway from atleast one format ago that worked fine then when i played it a day ago the screen went a green and super laggy. the same as the torrented files i just got.....ive tryed winamp, wmp, media player classic and nothings working.....i dl'ed xvid codecs and avi codec pack 2 still nothing..i think this is all due to veiwpoint media player...ive had slight issues with it in the distant past
