I do side work for a pool (swimming) store that does service, sells chemicals, etc and they've had issues with the computers that handle water sample testing dying, probably due to the amount of chemicals in the air. Computers on the office side don't have this issue.
I'm going to quote her a new build, and while anything I put over there would be higher quality and probably last longer I was thinking about trying to get a case that better protects from the chemicals. Has anyone ever dealt with something like this? If I got a case where all the air intakes have filters would that even make a difference? I doubt a thin mesh would do much, but what about a somewhat thicker foam?
I don't think locating the PC in another room is an option because it wouldn't be close and I'd have to handle USB mouse, kb, printer, water tester, and monitor connections.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
