I am looking for some pretty decent quality 5.1 or 6.1 surround speakers for my gaming machine. Currently about sold on the Logitech X-530's (which I can find no reviews on, http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=36-121-118&depa=0), but also looking at the X-620's or Z-640's. All 3 can be had for about the same price of $45-60. I am currently using some cheapo Altec Lansing 221's and I want to try out my onboard surround sound for once without breaking the bank. Any advice on what might be a good choice in the sub $75 price range?

I have the z-640's and I have no complaints. I paid 39.99 from CompUSA with 10 dollar card and 30 dollar instant rebate. I love the speakers. Just my 2 cents worth.

Creative Inspire T5400.

After having a set of Z-640s crap out on me I tried these and they produce some excellent sound for the price. As good or slightly better than the Logitechs.

One nice thing about the set is that volume, bass level and headphone jack are on a wired module that you put anywhere. Big plus on the convience side.

someone should make a quick thread about "the best speakers for the price". and post a list w/ prices and comments. sticky. profit.

Still wondering about the new Logitech X-530's. Anyone tried them out. I cannot find any reviews and they look to be a small improvement over the Z-640's. I'll take a gander at those creatives though.
