need better vga cables for monitor

I noticed that my monitor (21 inch new crt) has been giving my mouse pointer a tail when compared against a black background. Yes, I googled it ahead of time and I know the problem, crappy vga cable cause signal echo. (or something like that) I was thinking about going to best buy to pick up one of the vga cables they sell. Anything you want to recommend?
 
i have to use the adapter. it does send vga signals over both dvi port. its an 8800.
 
Check e-Bay for "DVI to VGA Cable". I use these to get rid of the adapter, Works really well. I got 5 of them for like $15. Or if you want you can get a more expensive one somewhere else, but I do suggest getting the DVI-VGA cable and dropping the adapter, they will just cause problems.
I use a 6ft one on my Secondary 17" LCD and I have a 15ft one on my HDTV, and another on my daughtors Computer. none of them have any image problems
