need an audio experts help, x-620 subs not working!

ive looked around everywhere for shit on this and i havent been able to find anything. ok, whats going on is i recently purchased an x-620 6.1 setup. Using a live 5.1 card, with the speakers set on the 5.1 switch. The subwoofer isnt working. at all, not after ive messed with the knobs, everything ive tried hasnt worked. So, im wondering,should it work when i plug in the green black and yellow wires, like off the bat, or is there something i need to configure? Or, worst case scenario, is it damaged..

I need help :confused:
 
furthermore, the front left channel is very weak.. ugh.. somethings damaged isnt it. :(
