I've gotten sick of my 40" 1080p Sharp LCD at a distance of 5'. I have to crank up the DPI and end up losing out on screen real estate. I'm replacing it with either 2 or 3 display set up. I've been looking at the Samsung 2343BWX with a resolution of 2048x1152 but am not sure if the unusual resolution will hurt, although it's still 16:9 and can display 1920x1080 just fine.
I use my desktop for (in most often to least often) browsing, word processing, coding (java, c++, BASIC) listening to music, spreadsheet, gaming, and watching video. Though I do like fooling around with Photoshop, I don't do it enough to warrant getting an IPS or PVA(?) panel. TN will have to do.
I have a 4850x2 with 4 DVI-d outs, x25-m g2, PII x3 720, X-Fi fatal1ty with a 5.1 Yamaha receiver, and Windows 7 x64.
So
A) 2 or 3 displays?
B) 23,24,25.5 or 26? (my desk has room)
C) 2048x1152 yay or nay?
