Need Advice on Testing a WC Setup after Shipping

Bought a nice midrange WC setup, but got banged around in shipping.

I read about unplugging the components from the PSU and using the paperclip/jumper technique to run just the WC parts to test for leaks with tissue...problem is that I can't connect the green wire to a black wire because the cables are blue BitFenix...all the wires are blue.

Setup is:

PSU: Kingwin LZP-1000 Platinum
MB: MSI Z77A GD65
WC: XSPC RX240 Extreme Kit
-- XSPC compression fittings
-- RX240 radiator
-- Swiftech D5 pump with XSPC Bay Res
-- XSPC Raystorm CPU block

Is it that big of a deal if I just plug in the motherboard and power it up, watching closely for leaks?

This thing is huge, can't figure out how to fit what I need in the case now (HDD and Optical Drive).

Feel stupid. Took off the back panel and found the regular 24 pin connector plugging into the blue Bitfenix cable.

So I plugged in the paperclip, unplugged the PSU from everything except the WC stuff, and powered on.

Running okay for about ten minutes, no leaks yet, so no major damage at least.

When does the gurgling stop?

When you've bled all the air out of the system.

10 minutes is nothing. Let it run for at least an hour minimum. It is easy in a 10 minute bleed test for a very-slightly loose fitting or clamp to escape notice....and only when water droplets form or you don't see air bubbles going away do you realize there's a lack of containment.

Thanks for the replies, guys!

As I understand it, the XSPC res should slowly bleed it out over a day or so. Am I correct or should I be doing something to bleed it manually?

Oh I just meant it made it to ten minutes so at least I don't have water spraying in my face from something major. :) The case got banged around pretty good so I actually held my hand in front of my eyes when I turned the PSU on.

I have tissues wrapped around most of the connectors and am letting it run, like when I install a new faucet or something in the house...this WC setup feels like a plumbing job, just a little more high tech and precise.

Unfortunately, the hoses are white, can't see any air bubbles going through them. How should I judge if it is bleeding correctly then? Just hope the gurgling goes away by tomorrow?

There is air at the top of the res, maybe about half an inch...is that normal?
