My machine

XP3000 @ 12*200Mhz (2.4Ghz) high mobo voltage
1Gb PC3200 RAM
Asus 5950 Ultra (overclocked a lot - 1 power lead)
3 x 7200 RPM IDE HDD's
1 DVD writer
4 silent case fans (molex power connector)

Currently i have an ebuyer 500W PSU, which is probably about as bad as PSU's get, but it seems to handle my system fine (or has for the last few months now)

I've JUST ordered a LeadTek 6800 GT, and am looking to overclock it since apparantly its a decent overclocker, what would you guys suggest for a PSU?

Im looking for a PSU, with no bells and whistles, doesnt have to be "silent" or have LED's or fan controls, just a bog standard PSU but as cheap as possible to handle all of the above (with the new video card)

Im in the UK, so looking to shop at places like dabs, ebuyer, scan, overclockers etc

Any advice would be greatly apreciated!

never buy a no name psu

if you want silent i would go with seasonic
if you want the best i would go with pcp&c

but you just want a normal psu that will work for you

i would get something like a ocz or antec, they all make good quality psus for a decent price.

OCZ ModStream 450w ATX2.2 Power Supply (CA-016-OC)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/OCZ.html
this is £60 and will work for you.

Antec NeoPower 480W ATX2.0 PSU (CA-022-AN)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Antec_103.html
this is also £70

Enermax Noisetaker 485W EG495AX-VE(G) SFMA ATX2.0 PSU (CA-007-EN)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Enermax_111.html
this is £55, enermax isnt bad but i would rather get ocz

i would get the OCZ one for £60

I just want a reliable PSU, no bells no whistles, no fan controllers or uber quiet models, nothing special just something thats capable of handeling that lot without dieing. Basically i want somethign that works as cheaply as possible :)
