Hey everyone.
I have been using a 27" Westinghouse LCDTV for gaming and I am finally sick of the low resolution it forces me to use (1366x768). So today or tomorrow I would like to purchase an LCD monitor between 22 and 25 inches. I mainly play FPS games, but I also watch movies on it. If anyone has any suggestions that would be awesome.
Is this Dell monitor any good for the price? http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-8299
Also, would I be able to hook up a Wii to this or any LCD monitor? Would I use HDMI?

EDIT: I noticed Newegg's Cyber Monday sale ends in 45 minutes. These two monitors are on sale and look like they are a good deal...

What is your budget?

I just bought a HP 2509m directly from HP for 288 (20% Cashback in the works). I'll give a review when it comes next week, if you might be interested. It's a 25" TN Panel LCD. 3ms, 1920x1080.

I suppose my budget is $300, but I am starting to consider the possibility of instead getting two 22" monitors instead. I hate being so indecisive.

Wow.
Little more than I wanted to pay, but that is an awesome monitor!
Hmm. It even has the hookups I need...
I get paid in a few hours. I might actually go with this if nothing more enticing comes along. I hope it is still on sale later. :-/
Any opinions on that dell I linked?

hmm.
Cheap or inexpensive?
Would I be able to hook up my Wii to that?
Sorry for the newb questions.

That dell only has 2 CCFL lamps (as opposed to the typical 4)...just a heads up. I'm not sure how good those monitors look. I'm also in the market for a 23-24" monitor at that price point...

cool. I will steer clear then.
Please let me know if you find something.

I gotta admit dude, that Dell 23" is cheap hehe.

If you care more about monitor quality, definitely go with the Dell S2309W. I had that before I got my current one (the aforementioned Asus VW266H) thinking the additional real estate would balance out with the supposed average quality of the monitor and...well, let's just say it's a tradeoff. The Dell is, of course, cheaper at ~$235 compared to ~$290.

It just sucks that the S2409W was on sale for $180 a couple weeks ago. I would be all over that this week... :-/

for a 22" gaming LCD, under a 300.00 budget, you can grab the viewsonic 120hz display (around 250.00) or the samsung 120hz version which is a little more expensive (around 300.00)

I haven't used either yet (should be here today), but they're supposed to be top notch for fast paced shooters as well as movies and such due to the high refresh rate. They're also stereo 3D compatible so if you ever decide to go down that road, you're all set.

The only downside is the 1680x1050 resolution :\.. 1920x1200 would of been nice

I will definitely look into that 120hz viewsonic, but how is that Gateway I mentioned in my previous post? It looks like that sale price is awesome.
