Need advice on buying desktop memory

I need some advice.

I went to the manufacture motherboard list to see the memory that is 100% tested and compatabile and it is hard to find any on the market.

Do I have to follow the manuf approve list? Any memory that has XMP 2.0 will do?

Need more info but I vote any memory will do.

What board and proc?

You can also check with memory manufacturers. For example you can punch in your board on the Crucial and Kingston web sites and they'll tell you what will work. Probably others too. I have a long running Crucial buying habit, so I haven't really checked around much... though I did end up with G.Skill in my last build simply because of what Microcenter had in stock at the time.

The MB is ASRock Z490 Taichi.

I need to get 4 x 32 GB.

Can I just get any memory because that list is sooo limited and I only found one and its a RGB.

Any memory with XMP 2.0 will do?
