Need advice on 22" LCD

Hey guys, new forum member here.

I've been researching LCD monitors over the past week or ago and have more or less narrowed it down to the Samsung T220. Reviews seem favorable and the price is right (currently on sale for $259 CDN, 1 day remaining on sale) so I am real close to pulling the trigger. But honestly price isn't a real factor, in this case it's just a bonus. I realize there are a lot of alternatives out there in the 22" arena and im looking for any last round of suggestions to have a look at... And unfortunately going bigger isn't an option due to space limitations on my desk. 22" actually works out perfectly.

I don't game very much but when i do i would like the monitor to perform well with as little blurring or ghosting as possible. The main use would be for media viewing (movies/tv) besides your typical internet and word processing tasks.

Also, what is/are the best 22" monitor/s money can buy? I want this screen to last for a while and i am considering going up the ladder price wise if the payoff is truly there.

22"? Let's go with these which is pretty damn good

TN panel displays

Samsung 2253BW 22"

LG L227WTG-PF (Glossy Screen) 22" or LG L227WT (Matte Screen) 22"

S-PVA Panel

Lenovo ThinkVision L220X 22" (1920 x 1200)

Hey, thanks for the suggestions.

I've looked around and it doesn't seem there are any local retailers online or b&m that sell the LG L227WT around here. I'm still looking at reviews of the Lenovo, looks like but that resolution might be a bit rough on my eyes. I haven't seen a 22" at 1600x1200 in person though.

The Samsung 2253BW ive some across a few times while looking at the T220, and both appear near identical in every which way expect for exterior design, and even then they still share the same base... Between the two models, which do you prefer?

if your going samsung get the 2253bw for it has aspect ratio control
Thanks, i didn't know about that.

I'd like some clarification on how it works, though. If i were to view a 4:3 dvd, say a TV series, would it be stretched and out of ratio on an LCD without this feature? I've never had a widescreen monitor so i don't know how one would handle this type of a scenario. I mean is the stretching something people with monitors without this "aspect ratio control" just put up with? Or is it easy to deal with?

Aside from that feature though, is there anything else would seperate them for better or worse? I know the T220 doesn't have a wall mount option but that's of no concern to me. Image quality and speed is however.
