I have a few questions for those of you more informed.BTW p5k asus board
1.Is 9 the only multipler for the e6600?
2.I purchased corsair xms2 cm2x1024-5400c4 675mhz modules, I should be able to o/c fairly easily to 3Ghz @ 333x9 right? What would be the max o/c do you think i could achive outta these modules.
3.How is the xp-90c cooler for these cpu, i like the look of them,, or should i go with water cool for higher o/c's--if so what do you reccomend..

thanks

1) Depends, on some boards you can use a lower multiplier (6 - 9). 9 is the standard and one you will want to use unless you really want to push your FSB.

2) Yep, the ram will probably default to 266 if its set to run 1:1 with the processor. If it runs at a different divider then you will want to switch it to 1:1 if you want to run them both @ 333mhz.

3) Not sure, Thermalright Ultra-120 (or Extreme) are really good, people also like the Tuniq Tower for high end cooling solutions.

what kind of ram speeds do you think i should be able to achwive with that ram??

Well they are rated at:
Timing: 4-4-4-12
Voltage: 1.8V
Speed: 333mhz

So you should be able to do at least that, no idea how well they will OC and how much voltage/timings you will need to up to get them higher.

Now if you are running them 1:1 with the mobo, your processor will be running @ 333x9 = 2.9 (almost 3) ghz which is a nice medium OC.
