Hi there. Well, my ATI Radeon 9700 Pro fan is dying on me. It makes a very loud noise when I first turn on the computer and it won't stop making the noise until about 5 minutes of runnning. I was wondering if any good chap out there could direct me to a new cooler for my video card. I'm not looking for any major overclocking cooler, but just one that is as good as (or better than) the stock cooler. I would ship it to ATI and get a free repair and stuff, but alas, the warranty expired about 3 months ago. :mad: Meh. Anyways, thanks for your help.
 
I have a VGA silencer on my 9800SE (basically the same card as yours) and it works great. One thing I like about it is that its alot quieter than the stock cooler. The only downside is that its dual slot, which might be a problem if you have alot of PCI cards.

Is that in Canadian price or in USD? The Vantec cooler at the ncix website is in Canadian dollars.

Correct Rev.? I'm sorry, but I'm a major newb. What's a Rev.? Or how do I check that I do get the correct Rev.? Thanks and forgive my newbiness. :D
 
Because of the many models of video cards, Arctic Cooling released a number of versions or their VGA card cooler so they can be used on any card. You need the ATi Silencer 1.
