Need a specific external hdd

My girlfriend wants one for her laptop. She stationed overseas and says some other guy has a small one that works. His starts with a "F" but it's not on Newegg, and i can't remember the specific name of that company. She wants one like his, that she could esentially carry in a cargo pocket of some pants.

I have no clue about these external ones.

Buy a normal hard drive, then buy an enclosure for $25-30.

Newegg should have a crap load of enclosures, just find one that's listed as being USB 1.1 compatible.

it has to be durable and small. my DIY external HDD is NOT small at all.

i highly recommend the last one because its a Lacie drive. i havent heard of any of the other manufacturers.

USB2.0 is backward compatible with USB1.1. So every USB2.0 is also USB1.1

The size should be around 160gb. The price around the $160 as well. Speed is not that important.

You can buy external cases for 2.5 HDD's which are small.

I was assuming the thread's author would pick a size he liked the most.
