I'm currently looking into upgrading my current integrated sound card to something a little more robust. I don't really want anything super expensive, maybe around the 50-60$ price range, but it has to be able to put out some good sound (at least better then my current one on the p4p800) and has to support at least 4.1 (preferably 5.1) surround. Any suggestions?

the OEMs dont have gold plated connectors =P
the retails arent much more

Fortissimo III. I haven't had any problems with mine and get great sound with my Z-640's.

Does not begin to compare to ANY Audigy.

zachary80, newegg and other online retailers tend to restock inventory, just something they occasionally do.

BTW NeoNemesis if you're looking for a good product strictly between $50-$60, I can recommend either the Audigy or the Santa Cruz.

Yes, this is true with normal products. But it may be months for another refurbished soundcard

note: they are still out of stock
