I need a very simple forum page for a website. It doesn't need all the bells and whistles of the fancy programs. In fact, all it needs is a place where users can trade messages and then sign up on a calendar. It will be used for triathlon training. The users will leave messages for each other and look at a calendar for a training schedule.

Anybody have a suggestion?

You should try Concrete 5 it works well and you can add everything from shops to forums!;)

Why, Nixzs, would you recommend a system with lots of bells and whistles when the OP specifically asks to minimize complexity?

Thanks for the help. I am trying Simple Machines Forum and it seems simple enough and has what is needed.

SMF and bbpress are both good simple forum engines.

Stay away from phpbb, it is like cat nip for hackers.
