i'm buliding a computer for a friend and its going to have a 1700+ and i need a small but good working heatsink ('m thinking copper) because its a very cramped mATX case and the optical drive will be right above it...so can any one reccomend any good slim heatsinks that'll keep a 1700+ below 50C (the lower the better of course)

its a Thoroughbred not a Pali...i dont know if its a A or B though

still...

got 2 friends running 1800+ with 5000rpm arkua HSF.. those vaccum cleaners... and running at 50C idle with casing open! somemore 2 of them are roommates

uhh...i'm running 45C at 100% with a copper zalman flower cooler and they arent the coolest just the quietest...

i think somethings wrong with your buddies computers and theyr probally palis

why not get a barton ... with a flower heatsink ... then underclock and undervolt it a bit ... I've got a 2500+ on retail heatsink @ 1.5V running 43C full load ...

its a low budget machine in a mATX case...a flower heatsink isnt going to fit in the case and a 2500+ is too much
