Need a quiet 12v pump

I just put together a DD system and purchased their D4 pump. This thing is loud as hell. Can you guys recommend a quieter pump for me? This pump issue is holding up my entire wc project. I refuse to have a system that makes that much noise.

Thanks for your help.

I have a Via Aqua 1300 that a lot of people call a loud pump and mine is very quiet. I noticed that most of the noise was vibration based so built a special 6 layer pad for it and made sure it was positioned perfectly. Quieted it down a lot. Maybe yours can be quieted down in that way cuzz the D4 is supposed to be an excellent pump.

The csystem pumps are also supposed to be quite quiet.
Correct... these are extremely quite and have good horsepower when in a dual configuration

Im in the same boat as you with this pump. Its not loud in a audble (db) way but in a high pitched tingling down your spine kind of way. I actually have to run my fans at full power just to drown out the annoying sound the pump makes. Ive read on other forums, which go into detail about it, that the way it is powered(sine waves) is what causes it and there really isnt much you can do. Ill definatly be going with a csystem pumps when I get enough cash together.

I want to know the same thing. But i need a pump that is the same size as the DD D4 pump, cause thats all I can fit.

The MCP600/AquaXtreme 50Z is actually a fair bit smaller in all but length
