looking for a PSU for this build. The build will be using either x1 4890 OR x1 5850. no crossfire plans in the near future

A good 500W PSU would be plenty for that rig. What is your budget? If you don't mind paying a bit for a better PSU, I would recommend the Antec Truepower New 550W.
