Looking for a z77 ivy bridge build Buget 500 - 800
Think about buying:
Intel Core i5-3570K
ASUS P8Z77-V LK Model #:p8Z77-V LK
Mushkin Enhanced Chronos MKNSSDCR120GB 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) Model #:MKNSSDCR120GB
Ram not sure on 16GB 4x4 @1600 atleast
Case NZXT Phantom 410
Heat sink ?????
HDD 1 tb ???


Have:
WIN 7 64bit
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750
GPU 6850 1GB
2x 74GB 10000 RPM HDD will be use for games or temp storage for recording .
1x 1080p
1x 720p
I run a 3 screen setup, but will do back to duel. 1080 for games, and 720p for YouTube/work.

Looking about buying a laptop on top of this, because my laptop it running a 2 core with a ati x300. If you think it is better to buy a Gaming laptop then a new desktop then I more than like do it when July 4 sales come around. Budget for laptop is around 1000. Needs to play Battlefield 3, EVE online, Ghost Recon Future Solider, Dirt 3.

A $1000 laptop isn't going to game nearly as well as the desktop you are thinking of building. Build the desktop unless you absolutely need an upgraded laptop for some reason other than gaming.

Best bang for the buck HSF is a CM 212+ for your IB. A good 1TB hard drive would be a Samsung F3 or a WD Black.
I wouldn't bother with 16gb of RAM for gaming. 8gb is more than enough.
 
I misread. Looks like you want a laptop as well.
 
My laptop is a105-S2131 with a custom cpu duo core been around since 2005.
Lets get back to the desktop.
 
I'd buy the second set of RAM and for $79 that HD is a good deal considering the flood prices.

+1, but I'd prefer the sniper series over the Ares series. Also if you are looking at a laptop and are considering buying one on newegg I was looking at these for around $500:
