here's a lame question that I probably should know but want more opinions first.

I'm in need of a new hard drive. I'd like to replace both of my 40gb 7200rpm drives with a single 160gb or 200gb 7200rpm 8mb cache.

I've been looking at the Western Digital, Maxtor, and Seagate drives. I'm not too particular whether I get SATA or PATA...kind of leaning towards SATA though.

btw, budget is around $100-$150. I've seen Best Buy run ads on the Western Digital 160gb drive 7200rpm 8mb cache for around $99 after rebates...

any opinions??? suggestions???? alternatives????

thanks!

I have a 200gb 7200rpm 8mb cache maxtor and I am very happy with its performance. I just bought a second 160gb one at compusa for $80 (see the hotdeals section).
