I need a new HD to fix a friend's computer, the old one is dead. I only have Bestbuy.ca and futureshop.ca (Canada), I have to fix it in a day, so I can't do mail order. I can't seem to find for example, Samsung F3 1TB. So what's my best alternative. I can go as small as 300GB.

Thank you.

I need 3.5" SATA drive.

First, is it an IDE or SATA drive?

Any 300GB+ drive will do as long as it is the right form factor and socket.

Well it really depends on the prices, but the Samsung F3's closest competitor is the
Western Digital Caviar Black series hard drives. Though they are usually priced significantly higher then the Samsung drive and I can only imagine that those two places will mark up the prices even higher.
