My top cases so far are the Lian Li V2120 or the PC-P80N. I am also considering the ThermalTake level 10GT. I have ruled our the FT-02, too small and the window is the wrong way. This case will be for air cooling or something like an Antec 920 or Corsair H80. No hardcore water setup as those days may be over for me.

With the PC-80 I can add a window, new top. With the V2120 there are not many accessories unless you do a mod. The Level 10 GT at least has hot swappable drives and has great cooling and is also $100-$200 cheaper.

So which case would keep everything cool with low noise?

They are both very similar. If you want window, good choice is V2120X version, which is anodized black inside. Quite unique feature when it comes to Lian Li, very few models have it (and only this one big tower, not counting red armorsuit).
If you count stock fans, P80 is not very quiet, also fact that door have vent holes doesn't help to reduce fan noise.

I didn't see that Lian Li made window for the V2120X. I wonder how well it cools compared to the PC-P80? Then there is the price difference.... $440 for the V2120 vs $350 for the P80.

To get quality window, you would have to send it to some shop, with laser cutting service or water jet. No way to do this on your own with dremel, too expensive case to do ghetto style window. And no, they don't sell them afaik.
Example of custom window from some worklog:

Wow that seems like a PITA and expensive at that!

I am just looking for a successor to my TJ07, without spending $600 for a TJ11. Not really doing water anymore but I want a large roomy case with good cooling.

Anyone with either the V2120 or P80 and how they may compare to like a TJ07 or TJ11 cases?

Btw TJ07 is pretty decent case, why replace? Unless you are bored.

It's an older TJ07 not toolless and without a window. I was was one of the first here to put a water setup in my TJ07. Now that I am not really into water I just want something different.

By the way.... Everyone...... Newegg is having another special on certain Lian Li's ......25% off ! I just snagged a P80N for $261 free shipping.Yesterday it was $349 plus $19.99 shipping.
