Need a New Card

Alright right now im my set up is..

P4 2.6 Prescot HT
512mb RAM
ASUS P4P8x mobo

The Worst part GeForce 5200FX

This isnt working im running Doom 3 at lowest res on low setting and im getting 25fps max and 7fps when fighting and shoting.

I got like 150$ I need a new card i was looking at like 9600xt or 9700pro i havent looked at any Nvidia cards. I just want one that can run Doom 3 and Halflife and like 800X600with high.

Sell your 5200 for a couple of bucks and splurge on a $180-199 9800 Pro.
 
I own a 9700 Pro and run DOOM 3 on Ultra fine at 1024x768 with a Gig of RD ram. Go with the 9700 Pro, cause its basically the same as the 9800 Pro, cept with lower clock speeds. But then again if you have the money then by all means get the best you can buy. Might even wanna try wanna them 6800's or x800's. :)
 
Yeah i just wish i had the money now i may just wait and get a 9800pro

where whould i sell my 5200?
 
The chances of this guy suckering somebody into buying that card is slim to none :D :D and a 9700pro is far from being a 9800pro. Otherwise a suggestion for a 9700pro is a very good suggestion. If $150 is all you got to work with that is, otherwise you mite wanna try a 6800nu for $300 im pretty sure you wouldnt be disappointed by that purchase.
