Need a MIC recommendation...

Need some help. I normally play FPS and me and my brothers use Team Speak. I need a mic only headset like the "Andrea NC-8". I had one but it broke, and I can's seem to find a place to get it. If anybody has recommendations on what and/or where to buy a good one, I would appreciate it. Thanks

If you can get your hands on a decent lapel clip mic, those are IMO better than headsets, since you can use whatever headphones or speakers you like....plus if the mic goes bad, your not replacing an entire headset.

Do do you, or anybody have a recommendation? Brand and/or model?

I always go for the cheap ones.

The last mic I used was free from the IT dept scrap bin...it was found in a drawer in a cube that hasn't bee emptied out of crap for some four years...it looked like it came stock with a PC or monitor....but my god that thing was incredibly accurate.

I also owned various Telex boom mics...all of those are great mics if you don't mind a desktop mic.

yeah, cheap mics are a crapshoot. I've got a great one (as cheap mics go) at the moment, cost $2 from the local Chinese flea market. Buy a box for a buck each, find the best. :)
