Need a little help with standoffs

I just removed a dying board to replace it, but as I got to unscrewing it, about 8 of the 10 screws were loose but "stuck" yet I managed to lift the board off the case anyway. It turns out I managed to unscrew the standoffs instead at those spots so there's still screws on one side and standoffs on the other side of the board at the moment.

It'll take some time to get them off, but are there any precautions I should be taking when installing the new board in order to prevent this from happening again? I'm thinking and hoping screwing in the standoffs much more tightly than the screws will do the trick but I'd rather be safe than sorry, especially when such a method sounds more like brute force than anything else.

A drop of crazy glue should hold'em in place, when installing new board, dont overtight.

Just remember that if the stand off is screwed to the back plate tighter than the mobo screw it will stay in. If the mobo screw is tighter than the stand off then you will have problems getting the screw out. Use a pair of pliers to make sure the stand off is in there good. Personally I use the correct size hex driver. Now, when you screw down the mobo just make sure the screws are hand tight. All they're doing is hold the mobo down. There is no need to torque those in.
