im trying to oc my computer to 3.6ghz stable, my mulitplier is at 15x dunno if i can change this, my ram settings are 2-2-2-5 with kingston hyper X pc3200 ddr400 ram. i want to atleast get 3.6 i've achieved 3.5 but not very stable.
my settings so far are
AGP ratio is fixed
nb strap cpu as 800
my ram timing are 2-2-2-5
the ratio is 5:4
stock volatages
any way to get it to 3.6ghz?

well, if 3.5 isnt stable, why do you think 3.6 is attainable?.... loosen timings on your ram, up voltage.... maybe watercooling is in your future.... overclocking takes time and a lot of tweaking.. 3.4GHz isnt bad out of a 3.0 northy imo

methinks your ram timings are way too tight to OC too terribly much. loosen htem up a bit and see what happens.

yes i have increased voltage to 1.65volts, cpu-id reads 1.68volts, i have tried combonations of ram timmings, but i think im not to good at this ram timming stuff, i've read many articles on it but still isn't very clear to me, and i think thats what's keeping me from oc'ing, my ram came stock at 2-2-2-5. how would i go about losening them?

go into the bios and set them DRAM timings to 2.5-3-3-7. that should allow for some more headroom.

if you hit a wall wiht memory speeds, yes. i wouldnt go above 2.9 or so volts. if the memory is still stable, leave the voltage be.

wiat a sec... is that stuff BH-5?? some of the kingston hyper-x p3200 2-2-2-5 was BH-5. with 3.2v or so, you should be able to hit 250mhz with 2-2-2-5 timings. awesome stuff.

i got it to run @ 3.5ghz, at 2.5-3-3-7 @ 2.8volts is max. and still crashes after about 1 hour of bf2 any other idea's? maybe some other setting im over looking?

run memtest86 to make sure your memory is stable at that speed. if it isnt, run a divider on the memory, itll make the memory clock go down, therefore making it stable again.
